Family Oriented Summer resort – with a basketball hoop, indoor and outdoor ping pong, a sandy beach area for building sand castles, a swimming area and 2 playgrounds that include swings and slides.  Sit at the sandy beach area and watch the swimmers or enjoy a little shade in our lakeside gazebo.  Spread your beach towel on the lawn overlooking the lake.

Enjoy the following in our recreation hall (open during the summer season only): Shuffleboard, ping pong, pool table, fussball and a video game.

Swimming – The 100 foot long swimming area is easily accessible from our dock and includes a shallow area for young children and a raft in deeper water for swimmers.  We do not have a Life Guard on duty. Do Not Swim Alone. Children under age 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Boating – Dock your boat with us or rent a motorboat from a nearby marina.  Dock slips, with or without whips, may be rented nightly or weekly.  Reserve early.  Launch your boat at NOROWAL Marina, located one mile south of CANDLELIGHT COTTAGES, in the town of Bolton Landing.  Park your trailer on our lawn, on the south side of our office.  Boat and trailer cannot be taken beyond the front entrance of our resort.  There is no turn around for trailers beyond the office.  Electric plug-in is available at the docks to easily charge your trolling motor.

Explore the area in one of our rowboats, canoes or kayaks.  We provide life jackets for adults and children.

Fishing – Bring your fishing equipment  and fish off our docks or out on the lake.  –  Enjoy nearby fishing in “The Narrows”, Northwest Bay, or off the tip of Tongue Mountain.  –  Charge your electric trolling motor right at our docks  –  Fish for lake trout, land locked salmon, large and small mouth bass, northern pike, & perch.

Hiking opportunities are plenty in and around Bolton Landing. Nearby options include Up Yonda Farm and Educational Center and Bolton hiking trails maintained by the Lake George Land Conservancy: Amy’s Park, Godwin Preserve, Pole Hill Pond Preserve, Cat & Thomas Mountain Preserve, The Pinnacle and Bradley’s Lookout.  There are many more options in the greater area.

Relax around the Fire Ring – Relax by our outdoor fire ring.  Bring your own supplies to make s’mores. There are picnic tables and benches near the fire ring.  Enjoy beautiful night time views of the stars.  Meet other Candlelight guests and find new places to explore in the area.

Visit the Bolton Landing business district and enjoy a meal in one of the restaurants or shop for the perfect memento of your vacation with us.  Neuffer’s Deli & Laundromat has a coin operated laundromat; grab a bite to eat, enjoy your meal across the street at Rogers Park or stop at the Bolton Visitor Center at the entrance of the park while you wait for your laundry.

During the summer season, we rent the cottages on a weekly basis, Saturday to Saturday, only. We rent on a daily basis in the off-season.  We are open May 1 – mid October.  Our summer season runs the last week in June until Labor Day weekend.
